Loretta, I was just at the Dr. with my husband and funny while in the waiting room, how people talked into their cell phones as if no one else could hear them. We all kind of listen in though to hear what is being said. It's just our nature I think. Pat
I agree! But most of them don't realize how loud they are. I was with my boyfriend at a restaurant a few days ago. He answered the phone, and the more he talked the louder he got. I had to tell him a couple of times that he was too loud. He started whispering and before you know it, he was loud again. Thankfully he just hung up. I just don't answer my phone in public places. But I don't really care for being on the phone.
When I purchased my cell (10 yrs ago) it was for emergency purposes only. Guess what I still generally use if for emergencies - I seldom if ever get calls on my cell. Everybody knows if you need to reach me you can do so at home or at work!
My cell phone is strictly for my husband and my sister, other than that emergencies only! We'd be a lot more sociable (face to face) if we didn't have them today!!
oh yes...and in line at the grocery store talking about the neighbors kids playing in the street because the parents were too buys partying...and the whole store heres the gossip.
AMEN, sister! Gripes me to no end. It is called RUDE.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ~

Know what's worse? Me answering them! (I answer back.)
ReplyDeleteI think that, too. I know I spent time looking for phone booths. It took me awhile to get used to using my cell phone, but now I'm lost without it.
