Sewing Crafts

A Little Bit of Sewing

I've been making my little door hangers and candle mats for some time now.
When I showed them to the family during the holidays I had to make more than I anticipated.
The children were just as enthused as the adults. They wanted them with their names and sayings to hang on their bedroom doors.
With the new uploads that Google offers, the pics are scaled to %'s. It doesn't bother me...I have a way to bring them to my blog.
I put at the top...my failed attempt to create a prim cat...it is prim, huh? LOl. Next to the Scottie is a fluffy white bunny...I'll have to retake that one.
Next time, I'll do better with my pics...maybe putting them across instead of the way they are now. Habits die hard, huh?

James asked that I give you his regards...he is better and starting to do a little around the house. I am thankful to the Lord for this...I was worried.
Wishing you a peaceful & restful rest-of-the-weekend! See you next week...

Best Regards,
Loretta & James

Loretta Sharing...

Downton Abbey...

I started watching this program from the beginning and was drawn to the characters, setting, custom, costumes, etc.
Downton Abbey season 3  aires Sunday January 6, 2013 on PBS. Check your local listings for the correct time.
If you are a viewer you don't want to miss the first show.

Thank you kindly for your lovely comments and stopping by to visit. You are appreciated and most welcome to return.
Do you realize how much I look forward to hearing from you? I know I haven't been doing as much lately, but don't ever think I'm not appreciative of you!
There are so many other things I haven't been able to share with you because they are not mine to do so, but have affected me much. Let's just say my siblings. I am the oldest and we are very close, all sisters...I get it all! And, have become good at helping them to solve, sometimes hard-to-deal-with- problems! Prayer helps me and keeps me grounded, strenghten and sane. I couldn't make it otherwise.
I do visit you, but don't say anything because there are times my heart is heavy and I just don't have much to share or can't. I hope you understand.

As I type this I'm drawn to my window outside...it is raining and I hear sleet falling against the roof of my patio. We have really had our share of cold winter. It doesn't matter since this is the first in a long line of winters. Thank God for warm homes and heat!
James just called from work and told me he had to cancel his run to Texas because of the roads...I'm happy his employees did this, because the roads can get worse. He would have been hauling a heavy load of material, now he's working in the immediate area.
He seems to be doing better, I really think he was disappointed the kids didn't make it home for the holidays... he was so waiting to see his grands. If he had to tell me, I would never hear it from him...

We wish you all a restful and peaceful weekend. Please take good care and please know...we really do care too!

Warmest Regards,
Loretta

So...Another Year 2013!

But, can it be so? Many are asking this question because it didn't seem long ago we were all excited to see 2012. Yes, things in this world and the world itself are really being sped up.
Have things settled at your house? Some of our neighbors are still showing their holiday lights and doing fire works. I wouldn't mind it, however, some wait until late in the evening when you have settled in for bed to do so. Hopefully, things will get back to normal soon.

Speaking of getting back to normal...

Our lawn makes our house look abandoned!

I didn't take but one pic, in a small area and it is small, because I really didn't want you to see it! Lol. That's funny because everyone in town can. It is bad!
It has been cold here, below freezing most morning, and just above freezing during the day. I can just walk on the front porch and the cold gets next to me. (achy.) So, I've been staying closs to heat as much as possible. A visit to Doc's is close, I'll be able to get a shot of pain meds soon. I only do so when I just can't take it anymore.
James went back to work today...I have to say I'm glad, because he sat around the entire time he was here... no motivation or energy! I hate when he goes into these moods.
Doc says he may need therapy. We shall see...

Hope you all are well...Wishing you a Healthy 2013!

Warmest Regards,
Loretta
