A Short Tutorial

Good Morning Lovies, hope you are having a nice morning. The rain has ceased and the sun promises to shine today. I know this may sound a bit nuts but, I like this time of the year because of the dark, overcast days. I told you...maybe I should move to Alaska where days are nights, right? lol!
My outing yesterday didn't go as well as I hoped. Having to walk was the worst...I was in so much pain, I enlisted the help of one of the employees in the market to help me back to the car. Believe me, I was happy to get back to the safety of home! Remember that saying, 'heart willin' but, body killin'... yeah, its an ole' saying!
Before I start with the food portion of this post, I want to show you my new backsplash in the kitchen. Because my appliances are stainless, we decided on this design. More to be done soon.
No words are needed here. Enjoy!

This is my Easy Peach Cobbler. I'd love to claim the recipe however, I copied from my grand, and I have seen it everywhere! So, where did it originate?

This one was a bit dry because I used a different casserole dish. (Stick to the recipe) It boiled over taking away all the tasty juices!
Needless to say, it was good! James had his with a scoop if vanilla ice-cream. He wanted seconds, but I was stern! He has to wateh his sweet intake too!
                                        Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe
1 stick of butter
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt, (I used 1/8 because of low salt intake)
1 large can peaches (28 ounces)
1 tsp. vanilla (I used rum extract also)
You can also add  spices if want, nutmeg, cloves to taste

Melt butter in deep casserole dish. Mix together in bowl flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and spices. Add milk and flavoring. Stir to combine batter. Pour batter over melted butter; then add peaches juice and all. Bake 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Serves 4-6.
This was a nice addition to our meal and easy for me after that ghastly outing. Let me know if you enjoyed it, that is, if you decided to try the recipe. Wishing you all a great hump-day (Wednesday) and keep creating!

Love To You All,
Loretta

Good Day Everyone

It has been raining for three days with more in the forecast. But, I have  spent the morning  clearing  out  my office and getting ready for my new agenda.
Hope you are having a good day and  know  you are   creating something  wonderful. I just wanted to pop in to say hello and keep in touch. I have a couple of  simple errands to do and glad to finally leave the house. It has been too long and I feel a bit uneasy about getting out. I'll get back to visiting you later.

All the Best,
Loretta

Breakfast Or Brunch

Good Morning, hope you are having a beautiful day! Mine started with a full breakfast by the Hubster! I was surprise because he worked a full shift Saturday and was tired when he came in.

I was totally out of it yesterday with worry and pain. After dinner, I took a hot shower and went to bed early. That's how he knows I'm not feeling well. This morning, I awoke to Ashley jumping on the bed excited and sitting on my stomach trying to wake me. I pushed him away and he started to bark...I should have known something was up. I opened my eyes and the Hubster was just standing there with this tray of food!

Ashley and Amanda had to be shooed off the bed  because they wanted the bacon. James had theirs' in the kitchen

The two of us ate what we wanted from the tray

And, when I finished I was stuffed...It was a huge meal!

James had the juice, but the black coffee is mine...just coffee, no sugar or cream. This blend is famous 'Chicory' from New Orleans. The bagels below had cream cheese and strawberry perserves on one side for me, James likes his toasted, with the fruit on the plate. The egg and bacon was shared too!

The Hubster knew I'd had a miserable day Saturday, so he made this day special. Why, he even took the pics of it! What a beautiful way to start the day!
We hope you have a wonderful day too. To all the Hubs out there in blogland, plan something special for your pretty lady today and make her feel special! It will be an act of kindness with two-fold results. Believe me...it does pay to be kind! lol. Be kind to each other and to your pets. May peace be with you all! All the best from your friends!
Loretta, James, Ashley, Amenda, and Lovie
