Hello & Welcome To Our House

Good Morning Everyone,

We have finally gotten back into some milder temps after all that arctic cold! I think I crossed the Mason-Dixon Line only one time and that was a summer. If I had to live up north with you good people...I would not make it...It is downright cold up there! My bones were actually hurting!! Well, enough of that...
I suppose the first thing I want to tell you about is my doctors appointment. Don't get all angry with me cause ya'll I want you to know I have been in some pain! It all started... read  (Here)
This happened back then and the ER doc I saw said it was just a sprain. Well, hello...does this look like 'just a sprain'?

My little Miss Kitty is devastated and blames herself for my misery. Poor thing, she still hides under the bed when she sees me hobbling about on my cane.

Fortunate for me I didn't have to get a cast, just a brace and pain med, and I was put on vitamins and calcium. Because I'm diabetic and heal slower it will be 3 to 4 months before I'm able to be without this brace.

Doc was saying, I can forget about cooking Thanksgiving dinner...little did he know...December is coming...???
That, my friends, is a whole new post so I'll be back to tell you the news...be sure to come on back to see what else is happening in The Thomas House... Have a Good Saturday!

Warm Wishes,
Loretta and the gang...

  1. I am sorry to hear of your plight Loretta. I knew something had to be wrong and I hadnt been blogging myself for a while. Take it easy as you can so you will heal correctly. You both are in my prayers. The older I get the more unhealthy hubby and I become and it is not easy and it takes a lot of praying and faith. The Lord has made us strong Loretta and we will be fine....

  2. I needed this right about now! Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. It seems as if we both are experiencing so many health problems. I'm thinking the further one is from perfection the more these things occur. So happy you both are doing well. Have a Nice Weekend!
    Hugs...

  3. My prayers are with you that your bones will knit together as those in scripture. In the words of the Kathy Bates character in Green Fried Tomatoes "we are older but we are and have more insurance." LOL

  4. Hello Loretta. So sorry to hear about this. You must do what the doctor says so it will heal. I haven't posted lately because everytime I click on your blog my virus protection comes up saying that a virus was blocked. I was able to read and post this but thought you would want to know. that's all you need right. Rest,.....xo

  6. Wow. If it's not one thing it's another. Sorry to hear about your pain, and this new stumbling block. 3 - 4 months seems like a lifetime to be in a brace, but hopefully it will go quickly for you.
