Good Tuesday Friends

Good Morning, I hate to say it but I overslept this morning! I really needed it, I grarantee! My Mom came up to visit earlier and we worked on this wreath for my entry door. I had in mind a floral arrangement with the ribbon, but when we started with ribbon only, we kept cutting, rolling, tucking, snipping, building, arranging, rearranging and this is what we came up with instead.

I used wrapping paper printed, Spring is in the Air... and put it underneath the wreath and glued it to the back.

Too, I used a few cutouts from my classroom supplies that I've kept for grand's, and other relatives when they visit Auntie, and glued them all over. Mom say the cutouts make it look child-like, but that's okay. I have the wreath hanging on a pretty over the door hanger here, but will transfer it to the hanger on the front door.

I really like the way it turned out...Spring Wreath! I know weather is different in areas, but have you gotten into the Spring of things?
It has been a wonderful morning...rather warm, with temps expected to be in the lower 80's. Azaleas have started to bloom and the spireas. I did get a shot of the Camellias...however, the rain was so heavy, just about all the blooms were ruined.

I'll have photos of these later. I need to go to my old place to see how /what I have there. I hated leaving my gardens, but the beauty of it is, I can always go back to them. Well, I'm cutting this short because I have some cleaning to do...and Mom and I are having lunch together. I'll be back to visit later. Thank you all for your wonderful comments...they are so very much appreciated!

Wishing you A Beautiful Day, and hope all is well with You and Family!
Love,
Loretta

  1. Hello Loretta, Thank you for your kind comments on my post. I love your colorful Spring wreath! It was in the 80's here today and everything is just so pretty! I miss our old yard/gardens but I'm thankful not to have so much to care for now. I need to get busy and make a wreath for our door. God bless,

  3. Hello Loretta, you are such a sweet woman. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. I truly appreciate your comments. Your wreath is lovely. So full of color and Spring. Spring time is creeping upon us so quickly. We have rain all week, so no gardening for me.
Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Linda

  5. Your spring wreath is precious. Ya'll did a great job.
I know you enjoy your mom so much...my little 43 yr old daughter calls me 2 or 3 times a day, just to make sure all is well. I guess when we get passed 70, our loved ones start worrying about how long we will be around. :)
I remember doing the same thing with my mama and wanting to make every second she was with us COUNT. :)

  8. Very Spring-y looking wreath!!!

Yes, it does look like Spring around my neck of the woods. But then, it's not unknown, to get snow on St. Patrick's Day either. Sooooo, we take one day at a time. :-)

    Best wishes to James!!!!
