Protect Our Babies

The changes in our weather has brought about so many losses to too many of us! Homes, property loss, etc. while viewed as necessities is slim in comparison when we hear of people dying. Nothing prepares any of us for hearing and experiencing the loss of loved ones during these hard times, especially children!
One news cast after the other, several cases actually, we've heard of toddlers...2-4 years wandering off  and drowning in pools.
Tragically, there were twins (4 years old) found in a pool here, one died and the other is in critical condition. The parents are devastated!

Do you think parents and child-caregivers are doing enough to protect young ones, especially toddlers? What do you think should be done to ensure their safety? (This is also my Facebook posting.)

  1. I think it just happens so quickly. A friend of mine was watching her two year old in the baby pool. She thought he was just playing as he was trying to stand and couldn't. She doesn't know what actaully happened but she went to get him and he was almost limp. I seriously would not have a pool with little ones. Even a baby pool unless I was watching constantly. 4 year old twins....you would never expect tht. We had aa few years ago twins that drowned in the city. They were 1 1/2 and wandered in to the neighbor's yard. I am sure they weren't being watched very closely.
    So sad whenever this happens.

  2. Children + water = adult supervision.
