My Tuesday Night Dinner

Lord, I love my hubster more than you can ever know but, God bless him...his cooking is really something else! So, I went into the kitchen to put my two cents in. Yeah, we had it out and I threatened to get my shotgun out of the closet and he got in gear quick! lol.
Yeah, I keep that ole' gal real handy, because somethin' is always comin' up! Then, I thought about why he was cooking dinners for me and I had to apologize...I felt like a soaked hen! I promise, I will not do it again...so don't go ganging-up on me! Remember, I had a fall and hit my head...lol! Here's what we pulled together...

We tossed a nice green salad of red and green peppers, celery, cucumbers and greens.

Roasted herbs-n-rosemary-w-olive oiled veggies, potatoes, carrots, turnips, sweet potatoes, etc.

creamed corn from the freezer

Crisp fried chicken. No bread or dessert and we had iced green tea.
I know this isn't a meal for diabetics, but this is my only/largest meal of the day, so I could have it. He really did a good job and it was good. I did tell him he was heavy with the oil, but I will not tell you his reply! Ugh!
Hubster here, Loretta had to get in the bed...she tires so quickly. Don't worry, I'm taking good care of her and not letting her do too much. I just can't cook to suit her...that's ok... PBJ is always good!

Ya'll have a good evening and hug your pets for Loretta.
Hubster signing off, James

  6. Loretta its so nice to see dinner again. I've actually had to cook more regularly since you have been healing and not posting my Sunday meals. Dinner looks great. Too funny about the gun....but I do have to get on you about James. I have grown very fond of him over the past few months, and I can't have you mistreating him. You know what they say, "A good man is hard to find." Take it from someone who has been sleeping with her laptop the past 3 years. They are sooooo right!

James, hang in there. If the PB&J don't work, try a sedative. LOL. Just kidding!!!

  10. Hi Loretta! Thank you so much for visiting my blog (StoneyHillCabin) and for your sweet comments. I'm so sorry you're having some health challenges but hope you fully and quickly recover from that nasty fall. Please tell your hubster that meal looked fit for a queen. You're a lucky woman to have a man who will cook for you. Mine is a good man but not much of a cook. LOL
