A Reminder To Check Out Friday's Post

Hello and Welcome Back to Blogging! Wishing everyone a beautiful day! Just in case you didn't get a chance to read our post on Friday, will you please be a dear (s), and do so?
  I had a chance to read some blogs over the weekend because of being away, and I have to tell you, we are all going through our personal little crisis and reaching out to each other for a bit of solace and love in blogland.
 If you are reading this post now, then please know, you are not alone. We are all trying our hardest to endure our trials, some almost unbearable and certainly heartbreaking!

  If we can all remember to throw our burdens on Our Lord, and leave them there, we will be a better person. I look at it this way; if we were to all put our burdens in a bag, and had to choose one, regardless to which one is chosen, and told we had to live with it, could you or I do it? Hardly not, because we are so sure our trials and troubles are so unbearable, but having to take another person's burdens may be worse than what we're going through!
 
  Let's pull together and show one another love. Let the one going through it know they aren't alone. There isn't very much else we can do but listen. At least we are when no one else will.
 We are here! We are listening and we are feeling your pain and sorrow! Importantly, we are praying that you pull yourself up and through it; conquer your fears, love yourself , and know you are loved.
After all, that's what friends are for, right!  I do love you all!

Sunday's Supper

Good Sunday Eve to Everyone. Hope your weekend had been a nice and restful one! I was late starting lunch, so this meal is now Dinner. Simple and easy, but enjojable. I decided to prepare a Tuna Noodle Cassarole, a Tossed Salad with a lite-dressing, and I bought Rolls from the grocery. My dessert was a Lite-Ice Cream without the fixings.
  Hubby says he couldn't see any meat in the Cassarole, but when he started to eat it, I didn't hear anymore complaints. Taste can shut the mouth quickly, can't it? LOL. Hope you enjoy viewing my meal. I'll be happy to share my version of this cassarole with you, just let me know and i'll post.
The rolls were stuck together, and I pulled them apart after baking. No, he didn't pinch a bite! Rascal...

My Lawn and Garden

Good Morning and here's hoping you weren't in any of the storms last eve. We had a scare last night when a tornado was on the ground just 12 miles south of us! It was scary for a moment, with the dark clouds, and seeing it taking form, but it turned suddenly to the east and we were spared! We thank God for hearing our prayers!
  I am sadden we have to leave our many flowers, etc. behind, but I suppose we can take solace in being able to take pictures. However, it is not like being able to go out and smell the gardenias that have bloomed and taking in the beauty of the hydrangeas.
  I took a few pictures and thought I'd share them with you. Enjoy!

Gardenia. They really smell good today.

  I picked a bouquet and carried them to Mom. She loves getting fresh flowers! If you try the Hardy Glads, they are a delight to have, and, they can be left in the ground! My pink lantana is slow this season, because of no rain. Yes I watered everything! The rose of Sharon is trying to bloom and I had one bloom on the butterfly bush. Veggies From Our Garden

 Good Morning to one and all! We are saddened once again for our negihbors, their loss, and particular the loss of their loved ones. These are natural disasters, acts man can not control. Please know, you are in so many of our prayers and as we reach out to you in so many way, know your deeply loved by us all!

  It is so hard to post of good things in your life when you see so much suffering of others. So, I thought I would tell you about my garden. I didn't have a good one this year because of the lack of rain and not being able to take care of it as I normally do. My Mom, bless her, did what she could while we were moving, by harvesting what was there. She took the pictures, so I hope you can view them clearly.

I was stunned when I saw it...look closely at the front of the picture
that is a huge cucumber that grew underneath the tomato plants. We
both missed seeing it! Of course, I gave it to Mom.

There were 4 qt. bags, so I divided them between the two of us.

We had more harvesting of the beans, cucumbers and squash and Mom put them away in the freezer.

I thought I wouldn't have anything this year, but you know, I'm thankful for what we have, although it isn't a lot, it will be enough for the both of us.
